James 5:14-16 (NASB)
14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
I am reaching out to all of the prayer warriors who read my posts to please pray for my well being. In recent visits with my doctor, he has expressed concern over two issues regarding my health.
- My doctor thinks I may be developing diabetes. He has run some tests and I should hear something regarding the outcomes later this week. Please be in prayer that if the Lord wills, the tests come back negative. Regardless of the results, please pray that the Lord gives me the will power to take better care of myself through proper diet and exercise.
- Recent tests have discovered a “spot” on my liver that was not there three months ago. According to my doctor, it does not look like a tumor; but, it does look like a possible clot in a blood vessel. This afternoon (02-19-2015) at 1:30 pm CST, I will have some tests run at the hospital to determine if I have blood clots in my extremities and in my heart valves, which may have “thrown off” a clot and lodged in my liver. Whatever the cause, please pray that the Lord (if it be His will) would safely heal the spot on my liver and restore my entire body to health.
I am currently at peace knowing the Lord is in control. In each case, please pray that the Lord’s will be done and that I would continue to receive the peace that surpasses all understanding as He continues to give me grace sufficient for each day.
Philippians 4:4-7 (NASB)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NASB)
9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
Philippians 4:13 (NASB)
13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Thank you in advance for your prayers of support and healing.
May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always,
