Bro. Richard is a 1985 graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. He received his license as a CPA in 1994.
Bro. Richard has experience in accounting, tax, payroll and management services and he enjoys working with clients in a wide range of industries and sizes (start ups to medium sized). He works with numerous clients in tax planning and tax return preparation.
Bro. Richard is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the San Antonio Society of Certified Public Accountants and has served on a select number of their committees. He is an instructor with the Becker CPA Review Program as well as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor. Bro. Richard and his wife, Marcella, like watching movies at home with their two kids. He takes pleasure in cooking for his family and celebrating more time with his librarian wife who completed her PhD after many years of study. He is an avid Winston Churchill High School football fan and enjoys his children’s many activities that include 2 garage bands (did I mention both daughters are drummers), volunteering his time twice a year to put on chess tournaments for elementary and middle school kids in the San Antonio and surrounding areas (averaging over one hundred players). Bro. Richard has participated and served many positions in San Antonio civic organizations and youth groups, including the Cub Scouts, Winston Churchill Band Boosters, Harmony Hills PTA, Eisenhower PTA, YMCA Soccer and Basketball. In his spare time he enjoys bicycling with a group he co-founded, tennis, learning to play the guitar, church singing (a work in progress) and reading.
