Church Needs Reconstruction

Olorei Independent Fellowships’ church was an open structure with a makeshift roof. That was sufficient when the weather cooperated; but, as a disaster whenever it rained or was exceedingly windy. Unfortunately, the worst case scenario finally happened. The church was destroyed by the weather. As a result, the congregation is no longer able to gather there to worship the Lord.

Where Is Your Next Meal Coming From?

Orphans 021 - NYARENDA CHILDREN’S HOME CENTREWhere is your next meal coming from? For many of you, the answer may be your kitchen pantry; for others, a brief visit at local grocery store; and yet others, a quick stop at a restaurant or fast food location. The truth is, many of us are truly blessed and have easy access to food and do not have to worry about where our next meal is coming from. Sadly, that is not the case with many, less fortunate, people around the world. Such is the case with the orphans under the care of Rev. Zakayo Mikiburi of Olorei Independent Fellowships at Nyarenda Children’s Home in Kenya. For Bro. Zakayo and the orphans under his care, each day is a constant struggle to find food for that day’s meal. That is right. You are very observant if you noticed I said meal (singular) rather than meals (plural). That is how difficult their struggle is. They are fortunate enough just to come up with one meal much less more. While we sit comfortably in air conditioned rooms eating three or more meals a day and snacking when we are the least bit hungry, children like the ones under Bro. Zakayo’s care do not know if they are going to get even a single meal that day.

Please help. Your tax deductible donation, of any amount, can help buy bags of rice and other food for these orphans and other less fortunate individuals so they can have a meal and stave off the pangs of hunger they battle with each and every day. Simply click the Donate button below. Please help feed the orphans of Nyarenda Children’s Home. May God richly bless you for your generosity and compassion. Thank you.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

It is with sad and heavy heart that I announce that my brother in Christ, Rev. Caleb Oendo, of Itare Christian Church, has passed away. While we rejoice that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, we mourn the loss of his presence here.

Please join me in prayer for his family, the members of Itare Christian Church, and the orphans who were under his care. If you would like to make a donation to his ministry, you may do so by clicking the Donate button below.

Cost of Doing the Lord’s Work

I am contacting you, requesting your help. While Saved by Grace Ministries does everything to keep its expenses at a minimum, it still cost money to do the Lord’s work. There are costs for insurance, international long distance, Internet services, and other processing fees that must be paid on a regular basis to continue doing the projects and missions that Saved by Grace Ministries currently perform. Please pray about making a tax deductible donation to Saved by Grace Ministries so that it can continue to assist those in need around the world.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

I pray you are doing well and are richly blessed.

Saved by Grace Ministries has been very busy providing assistance to those in need around the world. If you have been following our posts, you will recall some recent accomplishments, such as saving an orphanage in Kenya (see “God Saves Kenya Orphanage Through Your Generous Donations“), made possible only by your compassion and generous donations. Other projects Saved by Grace Ministries has been involved with include Pastors Conferences in India and Preaching engagements in Kenya, both via teleconference. Currently, Saved by Grace Ministries is attempting to provide food supplies for orphans, widows, and those less fortunate in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Kenya, India, and Pakistan.

Requesting Your Prayers for Personal Healing

I am reaching out to all of the prayer warriors who read my posts to please pray for my well being. In recent visits with my doctor, he has expressed concern over two issues regarding my health.

James 5:14-16 (NASB)
14  Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15  and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16  Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Rev. Christopher M. Fulgham
Bro. Chris

I am reaching out to all of the prayer warriors who read my posts to please pray for my well being. In recent visits with my doctor, he has expressed concern over two issues regarding my health.

  1. My doctor thinks I may be developing diabetes. He has run some tests and I should hear something regarding the outcomes later this week. Please be in prayer that if the Lord wills, the tests come back negative. Regardless of the results, please pray that the Lord gives me the will power to take better care of myself through proper diet and exercise.
  2. Recent tests have discovered a “spot” on my liver that was not there three months ago. According to my doctor, it does not look like a tumor; but, it does look like a possible clot in a blood vessel. This afternoon (02-19-2015) at 1:30 pm CST, I will have some tests run at the hospital to determine if I have blood clots in my extremities and in my heart valves, which may have “thrown off” a clot and lodged in my liver. Whatever the cause, please pray that the Lord (if it be His will) would safely heal the spot on my liver and restore my entire body to health.

I am currently at peace knowing the Lord is in control. In each case, please pray that the Lord’s will be done and that I would continue to receive the peace that surpasses all understanding as He continues to give me grace sufficient for each day.

Philippians 4:4-7 (NASB)
4  Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5  Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NASB)
9  And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10  Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Philippians 4:13 (NASB)
13  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Thank you in advance for your prayers of support and healing.

May the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always,
Bro. Chris

Donating to Saved by Grace Ministries and Its Missions and Projects

I know it can be a little overwhelming given the number of needs expressed by the various international ministries which ask Saved by Grace Ministries for assistance. Nonetheless, my heart is touched by the recent responses of compassion and generosity which saved an orphanage in Kenya which was in danger of being lost.

Proverbs 3:9 (NASB)
9  Honor the LORD from your wealth And from the first of all your produce;

Hebrews 13:16 (NASB)
16  And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I know it can be a little overwhelming given the number of needs expressed by the various international ministries which ask Saved by Grace Ministries for assistance. Nonetheless, my heart is touched by the recent responses of compassion and generosity which saved an orphanage in Kenya which was in danger of being lost (see “God Saves Kenya Orphanage Through Your Generous Donations!” for details).

Donations

You work hard for your money and have expectations regarding how your donations are being used. Rest assured, 100% of your tax deductible donations go towards the ministry projects you designate. All processing fees and other overhead expenses are paid by Saved by Grace Ministries through its general fund. Undesignated donations go towards the general fund and are used to pay the processing fees and overhead expenses, such as insurance. There are basically three categories of donations: specifically designated, generally designated, and undesignated.

Specifically designated donations are those donations which are made by clicking the Donate button in a page or post regarding a specific mission or project. Any donations received are used as specifically designated/described by that page or post.

Generally designated donations are those donations that are made by clicking the Donate button within one of the general designations located on the right side of the webpage. General designations include Mission Trips, Bibles and Gospel Tract Distribution, and Orphans, Widows, and the Less Fortunate.

Undesignated donations are those donations that are made by clicking the Donate button labeled Saved by Grace, Inc. located on the right side of the webpage. As stated above, any donations received in this category are used to pay processing fees and overhead expenses.

Current Needs

  • Saved by Grace Ministries has had a number of requests for Bibles recently in various native languages. Please consider donating to this need by clicking on the Donate button labeled Bibles and Gospel Tract Distribution located on the right side of the webpage.
  • I have been invited by Rev. Abraham Siafa of Spring of Joy Ministries to participate in the grand opening of his new church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, April 24-26. Springs of Joy Ministries will cover the cost of lodging; but, Saved by Grace Ministries will need to cover the travel costs (approximately $500). Please consider donating to this need by clicking the Donate button labeled Mission Trips located on the right side of the webpage.
  • It is that time of year when Saved by Grace Ministries has to renew its insurance ($500 by March 29) and pay a number of other overhead expenses. Please consider donating to these needs by clicking the Donate button labeled Saved by Grace, Inc. located on the right side of the webpage.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration of these ministry needs. May the Lord bless you for your generosity.

Thanks again for your support of Saved by Grace Ministries and its various missions and projects. It is through your generous prayers and donations that Saved by Grace Ministries is able to meet the spiritual and physical needs of others around the world.

The grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you always,

Bro. Chris
