Update (01-26-2015): Bivon Nyamwamu Makori

Bivon has been readmitted to the hospital. His wounds are infected and the doctors say he needs “supporters” for his spine. The doctors are demanding $450 for labor and $280 for the spine “supporters”. It is critical Bivon receive this operation as soon as possible if he is to have any hope of survival. The total amount of $730 must be raised in order for the doctors to operate. Time is critical.

Bivon Nyamwamu Makori, an orphan under the care of Olorei Independent Fellowships and Nyarenda Children’s Home Centre in Kenya, has taken a turn for the worse. Saved by Grace Ministries brought him to your attention when he severely injured himself as he and four of his fellow orphans attempted to steal some food to ease their hunger and that of their fellow orphans (see “Desperate Situation: One Dead and One Severely Injured” for details). His condition has deteriorated and he is near death.

Although he could not walk, Bivon was in reasonable health when he was first released from the hospital a few weeks ago. He needed constant attention and care since he could not care for himself; however, he rested comfortably. Unfortunately, his health has steadily declined over the past couple weeks and has quickly deteriorated over the past couple days to where he is now in critical condition.

Year End Giving (2014)

It is hard to believe; but, today is the last day of 2014. Tomorrow will be the start of a brand new year. The year has gone by quickly. Saved by Grace Ministries would like to thank you for your compassion and generosity during 2014 as you contributed your hard-earned money towards supplying food and medicine to those in need, assisting those in crisis, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to name but a few of the projects you helped fund.

A Time to Give Thanks and Remember Those in Need

Happy Thanksgiving,

It is that time of year when we remember all the blessings God has bestowed upon us and take time out to give thanks for all that He has done in our lives. Arguably, the most important gift is the gift of His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, God’s gift of salvation to humanity. We truly have much to be thankful for.

Saved by Grace Ministries is very grateful for the many blessings it has received and seeks to share those blessings with others by assisting other ministries around the world through the funding of various projects such as

  • Food, clothing, medical care, and education for orphans
  • Assistance for widows, the aged, and those that are ill or facing hardship
  • Translation of Gospel outreach materials from English to local, native languages
  • Sponsoring pastor conferences and evangelistic crusades

to name but a few. It is through your generous giving that these projects are made possible. Saved by Grace Ministries is totally dependent upon your gifts in order to function and continue to exist.

With that in mind, and knowing that the economy has impacted everyone’s ability to give even to the most worthy of causes, we humbly request that as you determine your ability to give, that you prayerfully consider making a donation to Saved by Grace Ministries. Any size gift would be appreciated and put to good use. Please help us to help others.

May God continue to bless you as you remember to thank Him for all that He has done for you.

In Christ’s service and yours,
Bro. Chris
